The Artist
Judy (Yudit)
Born in Budapest Hungary, Judy moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where she began painting and drawing at an early age. She studied fine art at the Cleveland Institute of Art, Cooper School of Art and Kent State University. After receiving a four-year scholarship to Kent and graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree, she began her professional career in Cleveland, Ohio, as an illustrator for IPC Publishing. She later joined Griswold-Eshelman Advertising as a staff artist.
After moving to Florida, Judy began working as an art director and later as a creative director for a South Florida ad agency. During this period she was commissioned by the Fort Lauderdale JetPort to paint 24 paintings to be hung throughout the airport terminal.
Judy is an artist, educator and author. She has taught graphic design as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach State College; illustrated, wrote and self-published a children's book; and is the owner and creative lead at Yudit Design, a full-service graphic design agency.
Because of her belief that fine art is the essence of commercial art, Judy has received recognition in both fields. Her paintings are held in private collections in the U.S. and abroad, while her graphic design work has garnered several ADDY™ Awards from the American Advertising Federation including a People's Choice Award and several Silver ADDY's.
